The release date of the 2021 RAV4 Prime
Although a few units of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime arrived in Quebec in July, it is only in the coming months that production of the 2 models of the 2021 RAV4 Prime will reach its normal pace. We can therefore say that the quantity release date for the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime will be next January or February.
Electrifying power
The powertrain of the 2021 RAV4 Prime, coming soon at your Toyota dealer in Longueuil, near Boucherville, is composed of a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, a Hybrid Synergy Drive system, an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission and an electric all-wheel drive. All this delivers 302 horsepower and a towing capacity of 1,134 kg (2,500 lb).
In hybrid mode, the 2021 RAV Prime uses only 5.7 L/100 km in the city and 6.4 L/100 km on the highway. In all-electric driving mode, the RAV4 Prime reaches a top speed of 135 km/h, has a range of 68 km and consumes only 2.5 Le/100 km.
Recharge Time
When you connect your 2021 RAV4 Prime to a 240V outlet, its battery fully recharges in 2.5 hours. This battery also recharges while driving, thanks to the energy regenerative braking technology that is standard on all Toyota hybrids.

The Prime XSE includes a one-year trial with Remote Connect from Connected Services by Toyota, which combines Remote Climate Start, Charge Management and a Charging Station Map. The XSE also comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, a unique black roof, heated and ventilated front seats, power moonroof, power rear door with kick sensor, intelligent clearance sonar, Qi wireless charging, Bird’s Eye View camera and head-up display.
