You think the RAV4 is popular? It sure is! Not only is this Toyota SUV the best-selling model from the Japanese manufacturer, but it's also our best-selling SUV in all categories! That's why you see so many of them cruising the roads of Boucherville and Brossard on Montreal’s South Shore. Your Toyota Longueuil dealership is getting ready to welcome the all-new Toyota RAV4 Prime 2021, coming as soon as the summer of 2020.
Although its exact release date is not yet known, the new 2021 RAV4 has a larger battery than the non-rechargeable hybrid, giving it a 60-kilometre range in all-electric mode. This range ranks first out of all compact SUVs, comfortably ahead of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV’s 35-km range.
In addition to this substantial range, the 2021 RAV4 will be the fastest of all Toyota models, except for the Supra of course. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 6.0 seconds. With a 302-horsepower engine, this will be the most powerful RAV4 ever produced. The other RAV4 models are powered by a V6 engine, which only produces 269 horsepower.
With the battery nestled under the floor, the RAV4 Prime maintains a 1,065 L cargo capacity, one of the best in its class. Standard features include heated front seats, a 7-inch touchscreen and the Toyota Safety Sense Active Safety Package, which includes Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and the Pre-Collision System with Brake Assist.

Since Quebecers are particularly fond of electric vehicles, it is in Quebec that the RAV4 Prime will be launched, followed soon after by the launch in British Columbia. What’s more, these two provinces are the only ones in Canada where incentives for electric vehicles are offered. We do not yet know the price, but it is very likely to be below $45,000 so that consumers can take advantage of government rebates.
