Thanks to the adoption of the TNGA platform, the 2019 Toyota RAV4, soon to see on the South Shore of Montreal at the Longueuil Toyota dealership, located close to Brossard and Boucherville, sports a lower and larger profile while being sturdier and more athletic. For off-road driving, its shorter front and rear overhangs allow it to take on rugged terrain.
Toyota engineers have spent 4 years to refine each aspect of the performances of the new 2019 RAV4, which will soon be driven everywhere on the South Shore of Montreal. The 2019 RAV4, that will be presented at Longueuil Toyota, close to Brossard and Boucherville, owes its prowess to 2 powertrains. On the gas models, it is a Dynamic Force 2.5-litre 4-cylinder inline engine with VVT-iE system, paired to an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. On the hybrid models, it is the Dynamic Force 2.5-litre 4-cylinder inline engine with the Toyota hybrid system II (THS II), paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect lets the driver steer the 2019 RAV4 with precision, even on the most difficult trails. Standard on all AWD versions of the Limited gas model and Trail model, the Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect can transfer 50% of engine torque to the rear wheels, plus distribute it to the left or right rear wheel.
All 2019 RAV4 models are equipped with the Entune 3.0 multimedia system with Apple CarPlay compatibility and a 7” touchscreen display. The Entune 3.0 Audio Plus system adds an 8” touchscreen display and SXM radio. Entune 3.0 Premium Audio also comes with embedded dynamic navigation. To these multimedia systems is added an all-new available JBL audio system of 800 watts with 11 speakers.
The 2019 RAV4, to see at the Longueuil Toyota dealership, on the South Shore of Montreal, comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 system, which is enhanced with new functionalities. For example, the new Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection is now able to detect pedestrians during both daytime and night time, or cyclists during the day. Also added to the Toyota Safety Sense suite is the Lace Tracing Assist system which recognizes white or yellow lane markings on the road surface or the path of a preceding vehicle, providing the driver with steering assistance in order for the latter to stay in the lane.
